The NBL off season is heating up in Melbourne, with Head Coach Trevor Gleeson being stood down on full pay.
This was confirmed by Gleeson yesterday. The Melbourne Tigers have responded by saying that Gleeson is still Head Coach of the team and they won’t be confirming or denying whether he’s been stood down until “the process they are following is complete”.
We should hear more within a week, but let’s be honest, this is hot for off season action. Sure, it’s nothing like a players association forcing a lockout, but we don’t get much. The only thing that is hotter than this is the Gold Coast Blaze having financial difficulties.
